Centinela State Prison
and California Crime Victims Coalition
Santa Claus and his team of elves recently made surprise visits to Centinela, Calipatria, Chuckawalla and Ironwood State Prisons.
With the support of the California Crime Victims Coalition (CCVC), Santa and his band of merry elves kicked off their annual Christmas cookie event with the Dec. 4 visits. Over the next few weeks, Santa and his team of volunteers plan on delivering cookies throughout the state.
This is now the third year CCVC has delivered cookies to staff in appreciation for all of their hard work. This is the first year they will attempt to deliver to all 34 adult correctional facilities in the state.
So keep an eye out and an ear open because when you hear those jingle bells, you just might find that Santa is about, and his elves are delivering cookies to you.
Founded in 2002, the California Crime Victims Coalition is a nonprofit organization which receives support from employee donations.
Its mission is to assist law enforcement personnel, support staff and their families in times of crisis, as a result of tragedy or victimization, in addition will support events and functions that promote support for law enforcement personnel.

I hope he travels at night like usual so First Watch is included in the festivities.
I hope Santa and his elves are wearing rain gear and the bright-red shining nose of Rudolph is glowing bright.
PS: Santa, bring plenty!
Yay! I will be looking for Santa here on the central coast, I hope he will be wearing his sunglasses and wet suit because we are looking at 70-degree weather.
Thanks for all your efforts. Those families you support may be one of us. It’s good to have services to lean on when times are unpredictable.
I like how someone appreciates that we try and give inmates skills to become productive members of society and if not, keep them out of society. Most don’t realize how difficult our jobs are and what a vaulable service we do for the citizens of our State. Thank you California Crime Victims Coalition.
