During the recent Regional Parole Administrators meeting, members of the Division of Adult Parole Operations’ (DAPO) executive team visited the Custody to Community Transitional Reentry Program (CCTRP) facility in San Diego.
The CCTRP provides important rehabilitative and transitional services to female inmates with 24 months or less to serve and allows them to serve the remainder of their sentence in the community in lieu of State prison confinement.
Focused treatment for the females include behavioral and mental health services as well as employment assistance and community linkages.
The CCTRP is operated through a contract with the WestCare Foundation, a nonprofit organization. Parole agents are staffed at the facility and, according to officials, play a vital role in the successful reintegration of the females into their communities.
