A motorcycle ride will be held Oct. 17 starting at 9 a.m. at Folsom State Prison (FSP) in honor of three deceased officers who served at the prison. Proceeds go to charity.
“We invite interested parties to join us for a leisurely ride through the foothills as we remember and celebrate the lives of Lt. Anthony Gentile, Sgt. Roger Milbourn and Correctional Officer Hugh Reed,” said Sgt. Fred Clemens, one of the ride’s organizers. “They are gone, but never forgotten. They were men among men, and left a powerful legacy. So come and celebrate with us.”
Non-riders can join the event by meeting at Lew Howard Park in Folsom at noon on Oct. 17, 2015.
Riders/passengers cost is $35, which includes a T-shirt, riders pin and lunch. Lunch (only) is $15. Shirts range from $15 to $20.
Proceeds from the ride will be donated to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the ALS Association and Caring Bridges, a non-profit offering free personalized websites to people facing serious medical conditions, hospitalization, undergoing medical treatment and/or recovering from a significant accident, illness, injury or procedure.
