The California Correctional Institution’s (CCI) employees recently donated 85 sets of children pajamas to the Sleep Train pajama drive for foster children.
Capt. David Crounse was instrumental in the organization and pajama delivery to the Sleep Train center.
“That means 85 foster children that may have gone without pajamas now have something warm to sleep in,” said Capt. Crounse. “This should warm everyone’s heart.”
Warden K. Holland extended her admiration and respect to the employees of CCI, saying, “Sleep Train asked for donations of pajamas for foster children to provide comfort to these less fortunate kids while living in foster homes. Even after all the generosity you all showed over the holidays, you still gave more.”
CCI employees delivered the pajamas to Sleep Train at the beginning of March. The manager and staff at Sleep Train were overwhelmed and ecstatic with how many pajamas were delivered as CCI filled their barrels.
