The staff of the CDCR Office of Audits and Court Compliance (OACC) raised $900 this holiday season for the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, the main food bank for Sacramento County.
Each year for the past 15 years, the OACC has held a fundraiser during the holiday season to benefit the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
The Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services is a local, non-profit agency committed to serving individuals and families in need. For every $1 donated, Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services is able to leverage $10 worth of goods and services.
This year, OACC held a raffle for six baskets full of items donated by staff in each unit. After the final count, staff donated $900, which will provide $9,000 of goods and services, 100 pounds of non-perishable food, 13 large bags of gently used professional and casual clothing, eight new toys and diapers.
OACC’s donations will help the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services continue the important work of feeding and clothing families, tutoring adults, mentoring children and moving people towards self-sufficiency.
