Sgt. Joel Guerrero needs a liver transplant. His coworkers have turned to state employees to try to find a suitable donor.

Avenal State Prison (ASP) Correctional Sgt. Joel Guerrero was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease, requiring the need for a liver transplant. His coworkers have rallied around him and are seeking help from the rest of the department.

In order to increase his chances of finding a lifesaving donor, Sgt. Guerrero has given CDCR permission to release his medical condition to all of CDCR or any other State agency to help effort his current situation.
