The holiday spirit infected the California Medical Facility (CMF) in the best way possible, helping 100 children through the Solano County 35th Annual Christmas Wish Program.

The program appealed to the community to assist low-income families with children at Christmas time.

Working with the local Family Resource Center, all families go through an eligibility process and then request special gifts for their children.

Red ornaments are then created with the child’s name, age, gender and three wishes.  Sponsors are asked to purchase any of the suggested gifts, spending $50 per child.

To date all children and families in need have been filled. This year’s goal was 1,800 wishes for children in Solano County. CMF is proud to have filled 100 ornaments, totaling $5,000 in donations from staff members.
