In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP) staff were invited to “Wear Pink on Wednesdays” in October.

Pink attire was in high demand each Wednesday and uniformed staff even showed their support by wearing pink shirts under their state approved uniform. PVSP’s Employee Action Committee (EAC) set up a table in the Administration lobby with resource material and pink ribbons.

In honor of those who have been affected by breast cancer, staff were encouraged to post a pink ribbon on the Pink Ribbon Honor Board in honor of a friend, family member, or co-worker who has or is battling cancer.

Assistant Classification & Parole Representative (C&PR) William Fellows was caught supporting “Wear Pink Wednesdays” in the C&PR’s Office.
