California State Prison, Los Angeles County (LAC) reported the passing of Correctional Counselor II Rosana Guzman on Jan. 8, 2018.
She began her CDCR career as a clerk in 1988 and was promoted to an Office Assistant. In November 1992, she became a Correctional Officer.
In January 2002, she became a Correctional Counselor and promoted to a Correctional Counselor II in June 2007.
A great supervisor and a Wondrful person.
You are missed.

Ms. Guzman, it was a pleasure to have crossed paths with you and an honor to have worked with you even if it was for a short time. You were truly a great example of a hard and strong working woman. I will miss most of all seeing you smiling at me on the roadway. You have definitely left a wonderful impression among everyone that worked by your side. My condolenceS to your love ones.
May you rest in enternal peace Rosana, you were always a kind, sweet, helpful, and most of all respectful person to all…you are missed dear by many who knew you. May your family and friends find comfort in their memories of you; which are now treasured keepsakes locked up in thier hearts forever.
You were always very helpful and professional. The department will feel different without you here. It has been a pleasure to have had the chance to know you.
