On Jan 27, CDCR staff participated in the Women’s Flag Football tournament held at Riverside Community College facing off against the San Bernardino Sheriff/Police Department team. The CDCR team drew teammates from two prisons and the Division of Adult Parole Operations.

This was the third annual event in which the proceeds went to the teams’ chosen charity. For CDCR’s team, proceeds went to two correctional staff who are facing critical medical issues.

Participating in the game were CDCR, Los Angeles Police Department, San Bernardino Sheriff/Police Department, Riverside Sheriff’s Office and the Santa Ana Police Department.

The women of CDCR, whose team was named Riot, brought home a hard-fought victory.

The event brought together staff from the California Institution for Men and the California Rehabilitation Center as well as parole agents. The day was filled with family, fun, sun and CDCR pride.
