Ironwood State Prison’s (ISP) Warden Neil McDowell and Chief Deputy Warden Richard Smith delivered 650 confiscated cell phones to students at Felix J. Appleby Elementary School on Feb.14

The students are involved in the Friday Night Live Club headed by fourth-grade teacher Ms. DeRosa. The club is continuously doing fundraisers for the community of Blythe and elected to hold a cell phone drive.

The 650 phones will be donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers who is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2004, who have provided more than 300 million minutes of talk time to our troops. Each donated device valued at $5 will provide troops with 2.5 hours of free talk time with their loved ones!
