The Employer Support for Guard and Reserve (ESGR) program earlier this month awarded Employers Patriot Awards to parole supervisors and management at the Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO)’s Indio/Palm Springs GPS Unit Office in Bermuda Dunes.

Parole Agent I Agent Michael Leguillow is a sergeant with California State Military Reserve/National Guard and nominated the supervisors and manager for the award to show appreciation for all the support given to him when he served on military duty.

The Department of Defense program was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment.

ESGR is supported by a network of more than 3,750 volunteers in 54 committees located across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam-CNMI (Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands), Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
