CDCR’s Office of Victims and Survivor Rights and Services (OVSRS) will honor National Crime Victims’ Rights Week with a Moment of Silence and information fair on April 11 at Fremont Park, 1515 Q St., Sacramento. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the ceremony beginning at 10:45.

Nolice Edwards, Chief of OVSRS, will welcome guests followed by a presentation of colors by the color guard from California State Prison, Sacramento.

Following the Moment of Silence, the keynote address will be delivered by CDCR Undersecretary Ralph Diaz. The guest speaker will be Dr. Nicole Clavo whose son was killed in 2015.

There will be multiple victim services agencies in attendance and live music will be provided by the Island Sunset Band.
