California Health Care Facility (CHCF) recently put on what will be an annual inmate fair, this year dubbed “The Right Path.” Medical, Mental Health, Education, Nursing, Dental, Psychiatric Inpatient Program, ILLTAGs and Division Rehabilitative Program staff set up booths and were available from 9 a.m. to noon for questions and providing information to the inmates. The fair took place on Facility E main yard.

Staff offered information on a variety of topics, including influenza, diabetes, medication compliance, obesity, mental health, chemical dependency, suicide prevention, community resources, education, vocation, Proposition 57 and recovery. The event’s primary goal is to provide education to the inmate population about services that are available. Over 2,000 inmates were permitted to attend the fair. It was truly a successful event.
