CSP-Corcoran Warden Ken Clark and Chief Executive Officer Celia Bell sent a big thank you to all of the prison staff for supporting Operation Gobble Gobble. This year, CSP Corcoran decided to donate funds and raised $840 in a matter of an hour-and-a-half for the City of Corcoran Emergency Aid.
Operation Gobble Gobble services Corcoran, Kettleman City, Home Garden, and Avenal.
The tradition started 14 years ago by former Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante and Assembly member Nicole Parra to help those less fortunate with a meal on Thanksgiving.
Today this project is kept alive by Kings County Supervisor Richard Valle and Assembly member Rudy Salas along with special donors.
This year, CSP-Corcoran joined that donor list. In less than 24 hours, staff came together to raise over $800. Along with CSP’s generous donation, several staff volunteered to help pass out turkeys and pies.
In the City of Corcoran, over 900 turkeys were distributed. In Home Garden, over 700 turkeys and pies were distributed
