A Feb. 11 operation in an area of Long Beach found agents from the Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO), CDCR’s Division of Adult Institution K9 handlers and the Long Beach Police Department’s narcotics task force serving search warrants and targeting crime in the city. The operation was a success and resulted in multiple arrests and discovery of narcotics. DAPO focused on parolees residing in the area while Long Beach police turned their attention to an apartment complex.

“Ten parolees were located and searched,” according to DAPO. “One parolee was arrested for technical parole violations; possession of prohibited material; sexually explicit advertisements and access to social media. Another parolee, along with three non-parolees, were arrested for an outstanding warrant for sale of methamphetamine. A small amount of methamphetamine was found belonging to one of the non-parolees who was taken into custody. There were a total of five arrests. No weapons were found.”
