California Correctional Center’s (CCC) Supervising Dentist Dr. Clyde Hopson was presented with the Patriot Award at CCC, by retired Gen. Mike LePeilbet from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Hopson received the award for supporting Dr. Amir Bahadori while he was deployed overseas.

The Patriot Awards are awarded to citizens who are supervisors of employees who serve in the National Guard or Reserve. The Patriot Award was the first ESGR in a series of awards and reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
